Zentangles and Doodles

 

These are so beautiful!  Doodles with a purpose.  I've made a few myself and they make me feel like a super artist!  And no, I'm not quite ready to show them yet, maybe when I make one that's bigger than the little ones I've made.

There are so many tutorials out there to help you get started.  The fun part is that all you have to do is be patient and you can make something incredible.

Aren't these great!  I love little quotes that remind me that we are all beautiful and we have the ability to show the world without fancy clothes and trendy makeup.  When we feel good on the inside it shows on the outside, and looking our best helps us feel better on the inside.  There is nothing better than a great attitude and great lipstick!  And remember, always where your invisible tiara.

I'll admit it.  I have an addiction, an addiction named Pinterest.  Oh sure, there are plenty of super moms who make organic spray starch to use when they iron their kid's underwear and we all have someone who posts nothing but decadent pastries and recipes for things no one really ever eats, but following boards is like going down a rabbit hole.  You start looking at pin-striped skirts and you keep twisting and turning and falling until you end up looking at 15th century silverware.  I'm always finding great fashion, tips, and cool projects that way.  If you want to follow along, you can find me at www.pinterest.com/thepdpenny/

Current Obsession: Fit and Flair Dresses

This '50s look is driving me wild right now.  There are styles out there for every body type and it's definitely a style to flaunt what you've got.  The lower neckline of  these dresses are just screaming for a great set of pearls to keep the retro feel or a bright statement necklace to bring a modern touch.   Wear this style with flats or heels, a jacket or a belt, pretty tights or bare legs.  Delicate accessories can create a soft, feminine feel to simple prints, but bold jewelry can bring out the colors and make the look flirty and fun.  This is a current obsession everyone should have.
